Synopsis: Lil isn't just an average teenager. She's one of the Nephilim--the descendants of humans and angels--which gives her some serious psi skills and a mission for redemption. Just when Lil thinks she's found a balance between her normal life with human friends and her training to become a Guardian, she's warned that someone close to her will betray her. When the boy she loves starts acting strangely and one of her human friends acquires a supernatural ability, Lil begins to realize that someone is manipulating the people she loves... and won't stop until she's been lured to the dark side.

This book started out a little differently, which is good, but I wasn't very convinced at first. Generally, a book starts with the character not knowing who or what she is and later on discovering that she has great power or is fated to save the world; also she always falls in love later. In this book, though, she already knows she's a key to saving the world and has already found this perfect boyfriend. She has everything, right? So, I figured, how much can you really write after all of that? I thought, not much. I was wrong. Ednah Walters has proved that.
The book is brilliant and  I loved how throughout the book she kept me second-guessing the people I at first thought were guilty. When I thought I had finally nailed the traitor she gave it another round of suspense that made me rethink everything! I loved the ups and downs and the mystery through it all. It was enthralling! You guys just can't miss out on this great story.

New Chapter

Today is officially my last day as a High School Senior. Today I will graduate and start a new chapter in my life: College!
High School was a place that made me feel like a total rollercoaster. Sometimes I'd hate it,
then love it, then hate it again. I had my drama and feuds and ups and downs and laughs and tears; everything! Even after all the bad times, and trust me there were a few, I will freaking miss it! I'm goimg to miss laughing at my teachers (it's inevitable), sitting under the tree in front of the school with my friends like a bunch of hippies, teasing my classmates, the riots that sometimes came up and the the afternoons we all took the bus to my friends house and we'd laugh like goons until our ribs ached. All the times we went out the adventures we had, like just the other day we went to the beach and when we got back it turms out we were locked oit. Ueah, total adventures. But, I'm confident that I will still keep seeing my friends and make new ones omce the year starts and I go to college. Even though I will miss HS, I can't wait and I know I'll love going to College in the Fall. So cheers to me and all my classmates. May this year and the ones to come be the greatest yet.

Favorite Daemon Quotes—30 Days of Daemon Tour!

Hello and welcome to my stop on the 30 Days of Daemon Blog Tour! I hope you all have been enjoying this crazy, obsessive and fun train. I had the incredible chance to read Onyx and since I am not allowed to share my review with you just yet I will tell you this: BE PREPARED FOR THE STEAM TO GO OFF THE CHARTS. If I loved Jennifer for writing Obsidian, I love her even more now. I think it's safe to say she coolly walked up my list of favorite authors and planted herself at the top with a smug smile on her face.
Today I will be telling you my favorite Daemon scenes and/or quotes. It was tough because I could quote you the whole book, that's how much I loved it. But, I tried cutting it down to the ones that I absolutely loved. This is what I came up with.

1. We all know and love that incredibly sexy protective streak that Daemon has. It's like the cutest thing ever (don't tell Daemon I said that, though). Well, there were some times that when it popped, even though it was kinda scary, I pretty much melted.

Protective Quotes:

• A dark look crept over his face. “I’m capable of anything, Kitten. Killing to protect my family isn’t something I’d hesitate over, but that’s not what you have to worry about.”
• Daemon ignored them and grabbed my cheeks, his hands steady and strong. “Listen to me, Kat. When I tell you to run, you run and you don’t look back no matter what. If any of them— any—chase you, all you have to do is stab them anywhere with the obsidian.”
• “You are so frustrating,” he snapped, eyes flaring with irritation. “He has a reputation, Kat. I want you to be careful.”

2. Another Daemon trademark is his absolute cockiness that, while infuriating, it is extremely hot.

Cocky Quotes:

• “In your dreams, Kitten.” He smirked. “Oh wait, I’m already starring in those, aren’t I?”

3. There were many times when I thought steam would literally burn me, like, come out of the pages and burn me. There were others that made me all itchy and excited and I laughed, but at the same time I wanted to smack Daemon. These scenes deserve to be mentioned.

Laugh/Hate/Steamy/Irritating Scenes:

• The two of us. Hot and sweaty. I bit my lip and tried to make my expression blank, but yet again I knew he could tell what I was thinking when his expression turned annoyingly smug. Beyond annoying.
“You’re kind of dirty, Kitten.”
I blinked. Deny. Deny. Deny. “What did you say?”
• I shivered. Not from the cold, but from how warm and wonderful he felt. I could feel every breath he took, and when he shifted his hips, my eyes went wide and I gasped. Oh yeah, certain stuff was definitely working.

• His hummed, brimming full of power. I ran my fingers down his chest, to the button on his jeans. The back of my legs hit the couch and we went down, a tangle of legs and hands moving, exploring. Our hips were molded together and we moved against one another. I think I whispered his name, and then his arms tightened around me, crushing me against his chest and his hands slipped between my legs. And I was swimming in raw sensations.

4. These are the scenes that made me gape a little.

Holy-Shit-I-Can't-Beleive-He-Said-That Scenes:

• “Then you could run around the house, up and down the stairs.” He paused, his smug grin turning wicked as his eyes met mine. “We could always have sex. I hear that uses up a lot of energy.”

4. Lastly, I'm going to tell you the ones that were oh so rarely sweet and kind or touching. Or cute.

• In a second, the mask he wore slipped down. And there was the real Daemon. Still a total badass, but there was pain in him, a vulnerability in the lines of his face that I doubted anyone ever got to see [...]
"I... I miss the idiot," he said raggedly.

That's the end! Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to visit today's other Tour stop, Irish Banana and their Couples Questions part 4 post.

 Isn't it gorgeous?!

Yesterday, USA Today revealed the beautiful cover to Melissa Marr's, author of Wicked Lovely, newest young adult series, Carnival of Souls.

Synopsis:
In a city of daimons, the Carnival of Souls hosts a deadly competition. Once in a generation, every citizen can fight to join the ruling elite. Without the competition, Aya and Kaleb would both face bleak futures—if for different reasons. For each of them, fighting to the death is the only way to try to live.
In our own world, Mallory knows that her father—and every other witch—fled the daimons’ city long ago. She trains to be lethal because it’s only a matter of time until the daimons catch up with them.
While Mallory possesses little knowledge of The City, every inhabitant of The City knows of her. There are plans there for Mallory, and soon she, too, will be drawn into the decadence that is the Carnival of Souls.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of those wonderful women who have birthed and loved your children; you are special.

So, here's a poem for you.

A Mother loves right from the start.
She holds her baby close to her heart.
The bond that grows will never falter.
Her love is so strong it will never alter.

A Mother gives never ending Love.
She never feels that she has given enough.
For you she will always do her best.
Constantly working, there's no time to rest.
A Mother is there when things go wrong.
A hug and a kiss to help us along.
Always there when we need her near.
Gently wipes our eyes when we shed a tear.
So on this day shower your Mother with Love.
Gifts and presents are nice but that is not enough.
Give your Mother a day to have some peace of mind.
Be gentle, be good, be helpful, be kind.
Happy Mothers Day.

The Kiss Off by Sarah Billington—Blog Tour!

Hello readers and welcome to the Kiss Off blog tour hosted by the awesome Missy at Missy's Reads & Reviews! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope enjoy reading this and will share it with all your reader friends! :)

Meet the Author: Sarah Billington

Sarah Billington is an Australian writer and editor who likes to write stories with love, laughs, suspense and zombies. Sometimes all in the same story. Her favouritest thing to write about are those horrendously awkward moments that come with being a teenager. Or a human being. Sarah was extremely accident-prone and klutzy as a kid and teen, so her cup runneth over with experiences of horrendously awkward moments to draw from in her writing. Thankfully, she has grown out of her klutziness. Mostly. She is, however, still an embarrassment.

She loves a variety of random things, which include doggies (hers as well as yours), Swing Dancing, Ice Hockey, Roller Derby and she is a bit obsessive about paranormal investigation shows and channel E!. She writes light-hearted works under Sarah Billington, and darker, scarier and more torturous stories under her pen name, Edwina Ray.

She also runs an editing, cover design and ebook formatting company
Billington Media.

Book Description:
Release Date: May 15, 2012
Publisher: Sarah Billington
Age Group: Mature Teens; sexual refrences and occasional course language
Pages: --
Format: Kindle (ARC)
Shelfability: Own
Source: Author
Synopsis: When sixteen year old Poppy Douglas writes a song about her ex-boyfriend Cam and ex-friend Nikki, she has no idea that her heartbreak is about to go global.
A local band picks up her song from Youtube and soon she’s along for the ride with her own fanbase as they blow up on the local club scene and hit the international charts. Though it turns out leaving Cam behind isn’t as easy as she had hoped.
Tangled in a web of unfinished homework, ill-considered sexting and a new lead-singer boyfriend, Poppy has a choice to make between the ex that inspired it all and the rock God whose poster lines the inside of half the lockers at school. But as she struggles to keep her emotional dirty laundry private, she learns that the truth can be hard to find when your life is in the headlines.

I can definitely say that I loved this book! It was entertaining, funny, kinda cute and Ty is so yum! I loved the whole aspect of Poppy writing songs to get rid of her anger, even though she posted them on her YouTube channel for everyone to see. It takes courage and honesty to write the things she wrote. i loved her crude honesty! GIRL POWER! LOL.
I disliked how sometimes she jumped ahead of herself and started baming... though I mean, come on, I would have been damn insecure myself. I mean Ty is a freaking rock hottie! I know you're all probably a little lost with my rants but, trust me, it's a great book! Read to find out eople! I hate spoil so i'm not going to say anymore. ;)
