I have many books I want to review but for now I am giving you a heads up for my next two.

I'll start off by saying that this book has ranked in my Top 5 this year. This book is truly amazing and captivating. I LOVED it! I just can't stop obsessing over it! Once I started I just couldn't stop. Emerson is a young girl who has been struggling for the past few years with the terrible death of her parents, and if that hasn't been enough she's seeing people who are dead and no-one seems to know what is wrong with her. She goes to countless therapies and consultants but to no use. When her brother, Thomas, tries just one more time to help her he hires gorgeous consultant, Michael, from a strange place called the Hourglass. Strangely alike her, Michael, will help Emerson understand and convince her once and for all that she's not crazy but special. Emerson finds herself falling for Michael who is only a few years older than her but he just won't give in. Not after promising to keep a strictly professional relationship with her. In this twisting story, Emerson will have to fight against time itself in order to do what's right but could doing the right thing cost her possibly the love of her life? Will Michael finally accept to love her? A beautiful and touching story.

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

Release Date: April 2008
Publisher: HarperCollins Publishers
Age Group: Young Adult
Pages: 352
Format: Paperback
Source: Bookstore
Buy the Book: Amazon

I absolutely loved this novel. Wicked Lovely is a strangely wonderful novel by Melissa Marr.
The plot revolves around Aislinn, a girl who has the special ability to see invisible faeries.
Her whole life she has lived by three rules:

Rule #3-Don't stare at invisible.
Rule #2-Don't speak to invisible faeries.
Rule #1-Don't ever attract their attention.

Lately that's all she's been doing. For the past 2 weeks, 2 strange faeries have been following her everywhere she goes. Faeries cannot bare to be near iron so the only place she seems to find peace is going to her hottie of a best friend, Seth, who lives in an iron trailer and places alike. But lately the faeries seem to be breaking those rules and following her even when she's near iron.
Aggravated, Ash goes to Seth for help all the while stepping on dangerous boundaries that threaten to change their friendship.
Aislinn will have to choose between saving the Faerie World or her own happiness.
Wicked Lovely is a fantastic novel that makes you see that in the end, no matter the circumstances, you always have a choice.

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen

Release Date: April 2006
Publisher: Viking Juvenile
Age Group: 12 and Up
Pages: 384
Format: Paperback

This is my first Sarah Dessen book. I had never heard of her until recently that a friend made her known to me. I now know she is very well known and has written many Young Adult novels.

Her novel Just Listen is a story about a young girl named Annabel Greene who is struggling with various troubles. Annabel is a model and though through the screen she portrays the picture of happiness andthe perfection of her life in all ways, her life is far from perfect. She faces various struggles including her current situation with her former BFF Sophie, with whom she did not part on such a merrily note.
Annabel also faces family struggle; her sister is facing an eating disorder and her mother always looking so fragile she's afraid of telling her anything that might upset her. Just when Annabel's life is going through the worst she meets Owen Armstrong, tough, music-obsessed and bluntly honest. As she sees that there is more to Owen that meets the eye he helps her face her with her day to day battles and fight her fears. But will she finally speak of that feud that tore her and Sophie apart? Will she be able to speak of the unspeakeble and finally face her biggest fear?

I really liked Just Listen because it was a beautiful story about learning to be couragious and not being afraid of speaking the truth.

Work in Progress

So my Blog is basically empty. I've put up a few gadgets but I'm aware that it needs a picture some actual posts. So I'm doing the best I can with the resources I have. I'm currently working from an iPhone so I have some difficulties because while an iPhone is very handy there are certain things that simply have to be done from a laptop or PC.
Hopefully soon my blog will look a bit more lively and complete!
