Okay! I am going to start by saying that I wasn't sure what I was expecting and I had no idea where Cassie really was going with this book. The Mortal Instruments was a fantastic trilogy and I loved it! From beginning to end it kept me captivated and wanting more and more and I ate these books up in a week. When I heard that there would be a fourth book—and eventually two more—my biggest wish and plead was this: Please don't screw up the series! Please be an awesome book!
Once again Cassie made sure to deliver an amazing story. She did not dissapoint. The book was more than I hoped. It had a little bit of everything.
In this fourth breathtaking book, Clary is finally able to be with Jace, the love of her life. There is no more Circle, no more Valentine and as it turns out they are no longer blood. Jace and Clary have been dating and she couldn't be happier but Jace is starting to act strange and is avoiding her. She is worried Jace may not love her anymore. But Jace has his own problems, he's having horrible nightmares and worries he might turn out to be like Valintine.
Meanwhile, Simon is still juggling two girlfriends, Isabelle and Maia, and he just can't choose. As if that were complicating enough, he's still not fully used to the whole vampire thing. Furthermore, Shadowhunters are being killed at random and no-one knows what's going on. Everything seems to be a big mystery; the Shadowhunters are investigating but there seems to be some pieces missing.
This book will leave you craving for the next one! I love it! I would recommend this series to everyone!
